SWIT has announced a new high capacity V-mount battery, the PB-C420S. The company claims it is the world’s largest capacity V-mount battery.
Capacity
The PB-C420S is a 14.4V battery with a capacity of 420Wh and 29.1Ah. As such, it should last a full day on a single charge with a lot of cameras. The battery also two D-tap outputs which can output 150W. These can be used to power on camera accessories such a monitor, EVF or wireless video transmitter.
In addition the PB-C420S has a 5-LED digital power indicator so you can quickly and easily check how much power is left. With SONY and RED cameras you also get viewfinder power info display

High load
The PB-C420S can output a constant high load of at least 250W/20A even when only at 1% capacity. The battery can also handle a peak load of 305W. This means that the PB-C420S will be suitable for use with larger LED lights which draw too high a current for smaller batteries.
The high load cells also help to maintain the battery’s life when compared to normal load batteries, especially if you are using it at full load output for an extended time. The PB-C420S has over current protection at 24A.
Fast charging
The PB-C420S supports 100W/6A fast charging which SWIT claims will save you more than 50% in charging time. You can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in only 3.9 hours, and fully charge it in under 5.3 hours.
The PB-C420S has an internal controller which has multiple protection circuits. This will detect any abnormal conditions includes over load, over charging, over discharging, high temperature and short circuit. This will actively protect the battery and your attached devices from any potential safely issues.
SWIT has not yet announced a release date or pricing information for the PB-C420S.
