ProGrade Digital has announced the launch of the third generation of its CFast 2.0 memory cards. The new cards are available with capacities of 320GB and 640GB. The cards also now carry the ProGrade Digital’s Cobalt designation which shows that it is the best that the company offers.
Fast read and write
The ProGrade Digital CFast 2.0 Cobalt memory cards have maximum read speeds of 550MB/s. The burst write speeds is also fast at up to 520MB/s. In addition, the CFast 2.0 Cobalt memory cards have sustained write speeds of up to 470MB/s. To differentiate the new generation from prior generations, the sustained write speed is now clearly stated on the card’s top label.
Build
The ProGrade Digital CFast 2.0 Cobalt memory cards are built to be X-ray proof and shock-proof. They also have an operating temperature range of 32°F to 158°F (0°C to 70°C) and can be stored between -40°F to 212°F (-40°C to 100°C). ProGrade Digital says that the cards have a low power consumption which will give you extended battery life when recording continuous video.

Refresh Pro ready
The ProGrade Digital CFast 2.0 Cobalt memory cards are Refresh Pro ready. Refresh Pro 3.0 is a software application available from ProGrade Digital for $9.99. With Refresh Pro you can proactively monitor your card’s remaining usable life, which could be vital before an important shoot. You can also use the software to get your cards back to their factory-fresh condition and performing at their best. Note that you need to use a ProGrade Digital card reader with the software.
