The game in question is “Palworld” by the Japanese company PocketPair, a survival adventure game available in early access on Steam. It has attracted considerable attention, selling over 8 million copies since its release on January 18. In this game environment, players engage in using guns to capture and train adorable creatures called “pals.”

The game title, also accessible on Xbox, has garnered acclaim for its gameplay, but it has sparked discussions regarding perceived similarities with the family-oriented Pokemon series.

The Pokemon Company issued a statement acknowledging numerous inquiries about a game released in January 2024 by another company. They expressed their intention to thoroughly investigate and take appropriate actions against any instances infringing on intellectual property rights related to Pokemon.
