NineSigma, a multi-billion-dollar Japanese industrial equipment manufacturer, seeks a technology to collect or remove particles generated inside laser processing equipment.
These particles are generated when laser processing is performed on the sample (substrate) and the material is ablated. (See Figure 1.) Particles (See Figures 2 and 3) adhered to the sample cause quality deterioration, and those adhering to the chamber interfere with normal equipment operation. Therefore, particles need to be collected or removed inside the chamber.
In this request, the organizer anticipates a wide range of proposals for potential technologies to collect or remove particles that can solve the above-mentioned problems. Proposals for technologies that can be jointly developed are widely sought, regardless of whether the respondent has commercialized the technology or not.
Submissions to this Challenge must be received by Feb 15, 2024.
