Canon has just announced the brand new Canon EOS R10. Like its companion, the EOS R7, the EOS R10 features an APS-C image sensor for the first time in an EOS R-series camera.
Canon positions the EOS R10 as “ideal for hobbyists and general photography enthusiasts.” The camera targets more casual users who want an upgrade in camera control and image quality.
Inside the Canon EOS R10
The Canon EOS R10 offers a 24 million pixel APS-C image sensor, giving photographers and videographers a 1.6x crop factor. This camera can shoot full-width 4K video at up to 30 frames per second. Its mechanical shutter provides up to 15 fps of continuous stills shooting.

What about lenses?
To complement the two new cameras announced today, Canon also announced two new RF-S lenses designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras. Indeed, the RF-S18-150mm offers a full-frame equivalent focal range of 29mm-240mm. Both lenses work with any Canon R-series camera.

The Canon EOS R10 is priced at around $980 for the body only. It will also come in a kit with the RF-S18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM for around $1,100. Paired with the RF-S18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM, the EOS R10 will sell for around $1,380. Both new cameras and the lenses should start shipping in late 2022.
