In this article for NewscastStudio, the transformative impact of LiveU’s ecosystem on live IP video coverage during the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election is explored. LiveU, a pioneer in live IP-video technology since 2006, played a central role in enabling real-time reporting and in-depth coverage. The 2024 election saw LiveU’s largest deployment yet, with over 4,000 field units in action, nearly doubling the usage from the 2020 election. These units powered nonstop, on-the-ground reporting for journalists and broadcasters, transmitting over 40 terabytes of data—equivalent to nearly 40,000 hours of live content—from 925 customers in 56 countries.
